Poyo ?

What poyo means actually? There's no such word in Oxford dicitionary or even in Kamus Dewan & Pustaka. It's a commonly used word when you talk to a malaysian. But I assume maybe poyo means youknow someone being-so-freaking-annoying-or-make-a-lame-jokes, is it? A Malay slang, used by teenagers and some 'young' adults. It's kinda offensive, when used intentionally and can lead to quarrels and fights if used for insulting purposes. After all, I don't think so it is a vulgar languange. People who used this word > Poyo is someone who is trying to be nice in the sense they are not saying The F word I guess. In this urban state, it's like a trend to use poyo in our daily language.
Example :
" Budak ni poyo lah tu tunjuk blackberry dia !"
" Eleh, macam pandai je main fixie tu, poyo betul !"
" Hah poyo ah tu ramai friend dekat Facebook, eee !"
         ....... etc
So from the sentences above, I hope you can make a rough guess about what's poyo all about. One of my friend told me that in Dictionary this word is exist and it means CANTIK! But we, people  misinterpret it and it seems poyo is 'Menggelabah'. You can always google, hey google is like everything, it answer all your questions. Poyo also means someone who is trying to show off right? *I hope I'm correct.

Annoying answer for the meaning of Poyo : 


Poyo is a compound word. It is made up of two words: po and yo. Po means a nonsense term. Yo means

the same thing as a common greeting.

So to whoever you are, I'm sorry if I ever offended you and I look unpleasant to you and make you say hey poyo betul budak ni. Sorry Sorry !!. I am just being me. Yes, I'm kinda over and P.O.Y.O but that's me. You can always judge me because that's how people react when they're having metabolism problem :) I don't mind in fact you don't make my day turns upside down. I won't change and be what you want because I believe everyone is unique. So do you?
